Compensation Range: $60,000 - $80,000.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Development Advisory, the Assistant Quantity Surveyor is responsible for helping clients manage their construction costs through financial efficiency at all stages of construction.
Key Responsibilities
* Support cost analyses, estimates, cost plans and feasibility studies for construction projects.
* Assist with trade and elemental take-off.
* Measure quantities for variations and manage risks related to changes.
* Undertake site visits and complete valuations of work complete on site.
* Prepare cash flows.
* Assist with client relations and help establish clients' requirements.
* Provide expert advice on cost‐effective construction methods and materials.
* Undertake cost analysis and feasibility studies.
Key Qualifications
* Working towards an accreditation in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
* 0–2 years' Quantity Surveying experience (students accepted).
* Membership in an approved professional body (e.g., AIQS, RICS, CIOB).
* Knowledge of the local construction industry including development, contracting and consulting sectors.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities.
* Self‐motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
