Melbourne Aviation Container Services (MACS) is a CASA Part 145 approved maintenance organisation specialising in the repair, overhaul, and modification of aircraft Unit Load Devices (ULDs). Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our Melbourne team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role working within a regulated aviation maintenance environment, carrying out sheet metal repairs and structural work on aircraft containers and pallets in accordance with approved data and CASA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform sheet metal repairs on ULDs (AKE, PMC, PAG, etc.)
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, SRMs, and repair instructions
* Riveting, forming, drilling, cutting, and structural repairs
* Use hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and workshop equipment safely
* Complete maintenance documentation accurately and in accordance with Part 145 requirements
* Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping
About You
* experienced Sheet Metal Worker
* Ability to work to approved data and follow controlled procedures
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Full Australian working rights
* Able to hold ASIC
* Valid drivers licence
