Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Analysis Ready Data Technical Officer
This is a 12-months contract (with opportunities for extension), located at our Client's **Canberra** location and a variety of working arrangements may be agreed upon for this position to enhance flexibility, including remote working arrangements
- Evaluate data and metadata submitted by data provider organisations through CEOS for compliance against the CEOS Product Family Specifications
- Facilitate discussions for review panel members on Product Assessments
- Prepare reports of the Product Assessment outcomes for communication to CEOS and data providers
- Provide technical support to the Director, Data Quality Assurance and Science to progress the global Analysis Ready Data initiative
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the Satellite Land Imaging Collection Branch.
**To be successful in this role you should have**:
- Familiarity with remotely sensed satellite data, associated metadata, and Earth observation data products Experience and/or familiarity with remote sensing data quality assurance methods, processes, and metrics
- Exceptional problem-solving skills to facilitate continuous improvements in data quality
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills required to examine data and metadata
- A demonstrated ability to work autonomously and think critically and creatively
**Required skills, knowledge, experience and/or qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience of working in domains involving scientific data, data quality assurance, data and/or metadata standards.
- Experience in or knowledge of satellite Earth observations, space and spatial data, and satellite data processing is highly desirable.
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams where you demonstrate collaboration, interpersonal communication, and support team members.

- The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance or hold a current security clearance of an appropriate level.
