**About the role**

Using your expert medical knowledge and experience to conduct medical screening for customers with pre-existing medical conditions seeking travel insurance to determine coverage in line with the company's underwriting philosophy and guidelines. We will provide full training and support to set you up for success
- Request and review of additional supporting documents when required for Special Pre-Existing Conditions (SPEC)
- Conduct research on specific Special Pre-Existing Conditions (SPEC) conditions as required
- Guide sales agents on assessing pre-existing medical conditions during sales calls
- Working as part of a high functioning and multi-skilled sales team, dedicated to customer service excellence
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of policies underwritten and decisions made in line with the Compliance framework
- Practice and maintain high level of sensitivity and privacy standards when dealing with customer medical information

**What we're looking for**
- Qualifications and/or experience in the Medical Field (e.g nursing)
- Previous experience in a customer-centric, sales focused role (preferred)
- Knowledge of the Australian insurance industry (ideally Travel) and underwriting operations (ideal) or willingness to learn
- Exceptional rapport building and interpersonal skills, team building and influencing skills.
- Experience with effectively dealing with customers, including handling objections and complaints
- Great attention to detail and ability to keep detailed and accurate records.
- Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative while working effectively within a team
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Computer savvy (and open to learning new computer software packages)
- Enjoy working collaboratively within a team and ensure timely advice to assist in the growth of the organization

**Your Qualifications**
- Clinical qualification (highly desirable)
- Training and qualifications in a relevant medical field (Ideally)

**Salary**: $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:
