In this role, you'll:
You'll join a multiskilled, multidisciplinary team dedicated to designing and delivering the infrastructure that keeps Sydney's rail network safe and reliable.
You'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across diverse technical areas - including data centre environments, networking, cyber security, signalling systems, and virtualised platforms. You'll contribute directly to projects that integrate emerging technologies with legacy systems, shaping the future of how critical transport infrastructure operates.
You'll assist with the design, testing, and deployment of control systems infrastructure, helping to deliver solutions that meet strict safety, reliability, and compliance standards. This is an opportunity for you to learn from experienced engineers, share your own perspective, and apply your ideas to real-world challenges. You can make a tangible impact as you help modernise and future-proof essential public services.

About you
You're someone who's motivated to learn and grow in a complex, safety-critical environment. You may have a foundational background in IT, telecommunications, electronics, cyber security or systems engineering and/or relevant industry experience but what sets you apart is your curiosity, adaptability, and collaborative mindset.
You bring:
* A solid understanding of engineering principles and a genuine interest in IT/OT infrastructure, cyber security, and emerging technologies.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving, where you look for opportunities to contribute ideas that improve processes and outcomes.
