Mechanical Fitter - Permanent Role
We are seeking a skilled trade-qualified mechanical fitter with experience in food manufacturing to join our team. This permanent role offers a great work-life balance and the opportunity to work with new high-speed technology.
About the Role:
* As a mechanical fitter, you will be responsible for preventative & reactive maintenance across high-speed production lines.
* You will also be involved in advanced fault finding & diagnostics focusing on machinery like Volumetric Filling machines and Case Packing machines.
* We utilise the MEX CMMS system to log all completed work, drive the preventative maintenance program, and build foundations for predictive maintenance.
* You will proactively contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
Requirements:
* CTIII in Engineering – Mechanical Trade Qualification
* Previous 3+ years' experience as a fitter/technician in the food dairy meat or beverage industry required
* Familiarity with GMP Practices and strong computer skills are essential
* A safety-first mindset and a drive for continuous improvement are vital
* A restricted electrical license is highly desirable
