As our Data Centre High Voltage and Grid Connection Lead Electrical Engineer, you will ensure the delivery of industry-leading data centres within management, brief objectives, budgets, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide High / Medium / Low Voltage, Utility, and distribution electrical engineering support for all new data centre facilities, substations, utility grid connections, and expansion projects, including utility connection applications, approvals, design, construction, and handover.
Deliver electrical systems for data centre projects, ensuring compliance with safety, technical, and quality standards.
Assist with utility provider negotiations, submissions, design advice, feasibility studies, engineering calculations, tender reviews, construction oversight, and approvals.
Manage all engineering stages, including site appraisal, feasibility, design, connection agreements, technical advice, tender reviews, construction, testing, commissioning, certification, and handover, supporting facilities management during initial operations.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience in Medium and High Voltage Electrical and Controls engineering.
Expertise in high, medium, low voltage, and utility grid connection electrical engineering.
Skills in electrical, control, and monitoring systems for mission-critical facilities.
Attention to detail and quality assurance.
Practical onsite teamwork with diverse groups to meet project goals.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards.
Understanding of electrical systems and communication protocols.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Chartered Engineer / RPEQ qualification is desirable.
