Our firm primarily focuses on commercial and business law, wills, estates and probate law and child protection matters, together with conveyancing matters.
This position aims to attract applicants who have a minimum of 2yrs experience in conveyancing and/or property law.
Qualifications & experience
* Demonstrated property and conveyancing experience
* Demonstrated experience working with legislation and regulations within an operational environment.
* Proven ability to prepare written reports and documents.
* A proven application of attention to detail.
* Proven ability to work under pressure in a time sensitive environment.
* Proven ability to be highly organised and work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Intermediate MS Suite skills and sound skills in using other legal platforms including LEAP.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Note: Conveyancing experience is a requirement
Tasks & responsibilities
* 1. Perform all administrative and legal requirements on conveyancing files from commencement of file through to settlement, including subdivisions, with a high degree of professionalism, accuracy and confidentiality.
* 2. Work collaboratively with peers and colleagues and manage individual caseloads in a time sensitive environment.
* 3. Ensure all work complies with relevant legislative requirements and regulations
* 4. Draft and prepare correspondence, reports and contracts for clients and stakeholders including Contracts of Sale and Transfers of Land.
* 5. Inform, advise and escalate emerging and sensitive issues.
* 6. Manage changing diaries, including scheduling, negotiating appointments and meetings, and organising any supporting documentation.
* 7. Provide a professional first point of contact for all client transactions and an excellent service to stakeholders.
* 8. Ability to work with Programs such as Duties Online, PEXA and LEAP.
