Stonemason – Eastern Creek NSW Kogan People Solutions is recruiting for a business specializing in the supply and installation of high-end stone products, including marble, porcelain, and other premium materials. The company provides expert fabrication and installation services, blending craftsmanship with the timeless design of products such as benchtops, stairs, and other elegant interiors for residential and commercial clients With a strong focus on quality, detail, and aesthetic excellence, they are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Stonemason to join the team. They are seeking a highly motivated individual who can demonstrate the care and attention to detail that this role requires. The role is full-time and ongoing. Location – work is based in Eastern Creek NSW,with occasional on-site work. Salary – negotiable in the range of $75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum. About the role: This role is based in a busy workshop environment and will involve all aspects of fabrication efforts required to complete the product and prepare the product for installation. Responsibilities of the role include: Expert cutting, shaping, finishing, polishing and handling natural or engineered stone such as marble, porcelain, granite, quartz and other materials. Utilising a range of equipment and machinery to create stone interiors such as benchtops, stairs, splashbacks, sinks and other products. Study and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to determine materials required, measurements, and appropriate stonemasonry procedures. Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise execution of stone products. Mixing required glue and other adhesives to bond stone surfaces securely and ensure proper assembly during fabrication. Operate hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with company procedures and WHS regulations such as wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), handling materials properly and other safe work procedures. Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area and assist in site clean-up upon project completion. To be successfully considered, you: Possess relevant trade Certificate IV, ideally in the field of Stonemasonry (or a related building trade) or agreed substitute. Have a minimum of 1 to 3 years (or more) working experience in the field, preferably within a factory setting. Have competence and experience in handling masonry tools and materials. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work from technical drawings. Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively. Possess White Card or willing to obtain before starting work. Excellent team skills, patience, and empathy. Have physical strength and stamina to work with and handle heavy materials. Are prompt and reliable, with excellent time management skills. Are eager to secure a full-time salaried position (so this role is not suitable for sub-contractors) Possess a current driver’s license. Forklift license is preferred but not essential.
