Role Summary
ALS Oil & Lubricants in Canning Vale invites applications for a full‐time Laboratory Technician to work the night shift (Monday‐Friday, 11 pm–7 am) in a NATA‐accredited oil analysis laboratory. The role involves analysing oil, coolant, fuel and grease samples to support client equipment performance.
Day to Day Responsibilities
* Label and unpack samples
* Register samples in the system
* Perform routine sample testing including ICP‐OES, FTIR, viscosity, particle counting, colour analysis, acid‐base and Karl Fischer titrations
* Basic equipment calibration
* Work as part of a team of laboratory technicians, technical support staff and leadership
* Perform housekeeping duties as required
* Adhere to safety guidelines and policies
* Move and lift racks and boxes in the 5‐10 kg range
Essentials
* Team player who enjoys working in a group environment
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment under reasonable pressure
* Excellent communication skills
* Great attention to detail
* Willingness to work reasonable overtime when required
* Experience using a LIMS is desirable but not essential
* Cert IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or similar is advantageous
