Our team provides expertise in environmental approvals, due diligence and impact assessments, flora and fauna surveys, GIS and ecological monitoring for clients across industry and government.
The Role
We're seeking a Senior Zoologist to join our Osborne Park office. You will lead and deliver terrestrial fauna surveys and fauna monitoring, analyse ecological data, prepare environmental impact assessment reports, and contribute to proposal development and quotes. The role includes project management, client and stakeholder liaison, and ensuring deliverables meet regulatory and guideline requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, conduct and lead basic, detailed and targeted fauna surveys and ecological monitoring (field work and supervision)
Analyse survey and monitoring data and prepare clear technical reports and impact assessments
Develop proposals, cost estimates and scope of works
Manage projects, timelines and budgets; supervise and mentor junior staff and subcontractors
Liaise with clients, regulators and stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental legislation and guidelines
Maintain accurate field records, databases and GIS layers
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or higher degree in Zoology, Ecology, Environmental Science or related field
Minimum 5 years post‑graduate experience (consulting experience in WA highly regarded, but not essential)
Proficiency in terrestrial vertebrate zoology, ecology, animal behaviour and wildlife management skills
Strong analytical, research and technical writing skills
Excellent organisation, project management and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team in the field and office
Familiarity with WA fauna, environmental legislation and approval processes
