Vacancy for Digital Curation Specialist
Provide specialist advice and expertise, including technical understanding, on the long-term management and curation of digital collections, including research data.
The role involves developing guidelines, procedures, and training to ensure digital content created or curated by the Library is managed, described, and formatted in ways that provide long-term meaningful access for future researchers, students, and scholars.
Key Responsibilities
1. Previous work experience on digital collections, digitisation projects, and/or digital preservation.
2. Expertise and understanding of library, archival, or preservation repository systems, services, and requirements, including metadata, standards, workflows, resource description, rights, and permissions.
3. Approach work as a strong collaborator with great initiative as a project manager and good attention to detail.
4. Support the ongoing development of high-quality client-focused digital curation services.
5. Provide specialist technical advice on digital preservation to the University community.
6. Contribute actively to team and Library culture and values.
