Role Overview:
As a Care Worker at Uniting Wirreanda, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily living activities while delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and social engagement, ensuring each resident's dignity, comfort, and individual needs are respected.
Key Responsibilities
You'll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings
Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
Qualification & Requirements
Must hold a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Individual Support (Ageing),
Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Care. (Highly desirable, not mandatory)
Be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
Provide a culturally safe and inclusive work environment.
Ability to adapt to changing shifts if required.
A genuine passion for elderly care, empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
