About The Role
The Drug and Alcohol Intake Clinician, working as part of a multidisciplinary team, is responsible for providing a centralized first point of contact, including telephone and face-to-face, information and referral services for Drug and Alcohol Services within Western NSW Local Health District. This role involves assisting clients seeking help with substance use problems.
The team within WNSWLHD includes Social Workers, Psychologists, Health Clinicians, Nurses, Addiction Medicine Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Consultants, and Clinical Leads.
You will work closely with the entire multidisciplinary team, as well as with clinicians from Mental Health Drug and Alcohol services, NGOs, other health agencies, and local GPs.
