Your New Role
The Pool Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well‐being of all aquatic facility users by maintaining vigilant supervision, preventing incidents, and responding swiftly and effectively to emergencies. This role also supports the delivery of a positive customer experience through professional conduct, clear communication, and the promotion of safe aquatic practices. About You
* Hold a current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
* Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate
* Experience in a similar role is highly desirable
* Hold a Pool Plant Operators Certificate and a Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate is highly desirable but not essential
* Good communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders
* Demonstrated capacity to remain composed and make clear decisions in high‐pressure or emergency situations
* Demonstrated ability to maintain focus during shifts and detect early signs of distress or rule violations.
Please note: Working With Children Check (Blue Card) No Card, No Start and Restricted Person legislation applies. All PCYC employees are required to complete a National Police Check upon commencement.
