What You'll Be Doing
As the Clinical Psychologist in our Child & Adolescent Eating Disorders Service you will:
• Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for child and adolescent outpatients aged *****.
• Offer clinical leadership, contribute to service improvement and collaborate closely with families, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide expert consultation to multidisciplinary teams, health professionals and key stakeholders.
• Maintain high professional and ethical standards in line with APS Clinical College guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical research and service development initiatives.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation, reporting and adherence to safety, risk and compliance requirements.

Qualification: Postgraduate qualification / degree in Clinical PsychologyRegistration: Registration as Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
A four-year degree in Psychology (or a three-year degree with a fourth-year honours) and a post-graduate degree at the Masters level or higher in Clinical Psychology from a recognised university, registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Experience in the provision of mental health practice, including conducting mental health assessments and evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents with eating disorders and complex comorbidities.
Demonstrated knowledge of disordered eating, body image and related social and cultural issues associated with the development of eating disorders, as well as innovative public health and community interventions.
Experience liaising and consulting on medical and/or mental health issues with health professionals (e.g., GP's, nurses, allied health) involved in the management and treatment of eating disorders.
Ability to deliver therapeutic models for the effective treatment of eating disorders, such as Maudsley Family-Based Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, verbal and written, and the ability to work individually and in a multidisciplinary team.
