Our Organisation
The Tiwi Islands Training and Employment Board also known as TITEB is the employment, training, and allied education services provider for the Tiwi Islands Communities. Our programs facilitate employment and education outcomes and support the community to reach their potential through the delivery of the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES), Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Group Training Organisation (GTO) and the Tiwi School Support Services Program (TSSS).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The primary purpose of the Logistics Officer is to support the efficient and timely management of the organisation’s logistics operations to and from the Tiwi Islands. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of logistics operations, ensuring the smooth and effective coordination of shipments and goods pickups. Working closely with the Darwin team, the Logistics Officer ensures that all deliveries to all our sites are executed seamlessly. The position also maintains accurate inventory records, facilitates communication between suppliers, vendors, and our TITEB sites to ensure that all logistical processes comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate Shipments and Deliveries
Schedule, track, and support deliveries of goods, materials, and vehicles to ensure timely and safe arrival.
2. Communication and Coordination
Liaise with suppliers, vendors, transportation providers, and internal staff to coordinate logistics activities and resolve any issues that may arise.
3. Mail Collection
Check corporate mailbox at least twice a week.
4. Transportation of Staff and Board Members
Coordinate and assist with the transportation of Staff and Board Members, as directed by your manager and CEO.
5. Vehicle Fleet
Maintain and manage the Darwin Office fleet, ensuring they are clean, fuelled, and roadworthy. Ensure accurate records of fleet usage.
Provide support to Tiwi Islands fleet operations as directed by the Finance team.
6. Office Maintenance
Assist with office and site maintenance arrangements, including minor equipment and facilities support and the daily cleanliness of the TITEB front office entrance under the directions of the Manager and the Senior Finance Officer.
7. Ad Hoc Tasks
Support ad hoc logistics tasks as directed by your manager, including assisting other departments with resource movement or event setup.

Essential
1. A demonstrated ability to undertake the duties as per the stated in Key Responsibilities.
* A high level of professionalism, personal integrity and commitment.
* Previous experience working with Indigenous people.
* Strong communication skills, good coordination and admin skills, and the ability to work as a team.
* Good common-sense approach to logistics
* Ability to prioritise tasks to complete set goals
* A high level of initiative with the ability to work independently and follow directions
* Ability to lift and move heavy and bulky items
* A current NT Driver’s license
* Current NT Ochre Card
