Having achieved strong success in Western Australia, the East Coast operation is now entering an exciting growth phase, with substantial untapped market opportunity identified across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
OPPORTUNITY
You will lead from the front — supporting and developing an existing East Coast sales team while remaining highly customer-facing across mining, quarrying, civil construction and heavy industry accounts.
You will take ownership of regional commercial performance, support major customer opportunities, influence pricing and product strategy and help shape the next phase of East Coast growth.
Importantly, this role offers genuine autonomy and visibility within a flat, no-nonsense business where practical leadership and commercial results are highly valued.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead, mentor and support a small East Coast BDM team across QLD and Northern Australia to achieve regional sales targets.
* Provide practical coaching, field support and day-to-day leadership to improve capability and performance.
* Foster a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture built around accountability and teamwork.
* Assist in future recruitment and expansion of the East Coast sales function.
Business Development & Key Accounts
* Maintain a strong field presence, building trusted relationships with customers across mining, quarrying and heavy construction sectors.
* Retain and grow key accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.Work alongside BDMs on major projects, strategic accounts and large customer opportunities.
* Understand customer operational requirements and deliver practical, commercially effective solutions.
Regional Commercial Management
* Take ownership of customer experience, pricing and commercial performance across the East Coast region.
* Set and manage regional pricing in line with market conditions and competitive activity.
* Identify opportunities to improve product mix and revenue growth.
* Contribute to sales forecasting, planning and execution strategies.
Travel & Territory Coverage
* Travel approximately one week per month across Queensland, NSW and Victoria to support customers, direct reports and growth initiatives.
* Operate from Brisbane as the regional base while supporting growth across Townsville, Sydney and Melbourne territories.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To be successful, you will likely bring:
* Proven experience leading, mentoring or developing sales teams within industrial, trade or field-based environments.
* Strong business development and account management capability across mining, quarrying, civil construction, heavy equipment or industrial sectors.
* Experience selling consumables, wear parts, industrial products or other fast-moving, relationship-driven solutions.
* Strong customer relationships with mining contractors, quarry operators, construction businesses or heavy industry customers.
* A practical, down-to-earth communication style that resonates with operational and site-based stakeholders.
* A willingness to remain highly customer-facing and lead from the front rather than purely managing internally.
