About the Role
Schlam is looking for a skilled Industrial Blaster Painter to join our Forrestfield workshop on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a day-shift only role with the opportunity to earn overtime at hourly rates. You'll be part of a close-knit team delivering high-quality surface preparation and coatings that keep our industry-leading payload products at their best.

What You'll Be Doing
* Preparing and blasting steel surfaces, followed by the application of coatings using brushes, rollers and spray units.
* Reading and working to client and manufacturer specifications to ensure coatings are applied correctly.
* Measuring paint thickness, applying touch-ups and ensuring high-quality finishes.
* Maintaining tools and equipment, reporting faults and keeping the workshop clean and safe.
* Contributing to daily safety meetings, toolbox talks and pre-start checks.
* Assisting with decal and reflective tape application as required.
About You
We're seeking someone who takes pride in their workmanship and has a strong focus on safety. To succeed, you'll bring:
* Certificate III in Surface Preparation & Coating Application (essential)
* Current and valid driver's licence
* High Risk Work Licence – LF (essential)
* Safe Working at Heights permit (essential)
* Hands-on experience with blasting, preparation, and coating of steel surfaces
* A proactive, team-oriented mindset and willingness to pitch in
