**What you do matters**
- Caring for the elderly matters. Every day, you touch the lives of those you care for and their families. And, along the way, cherish small moments and celebrate life stories.
- At the same time, you need a team that cares for you. Part-time hours, regular shifts, or flexible work hours that suit your other commitments like study, grandchildren, or school drop-offs might be important. You need support to do your best - at work and home.
**What matters to us**
- It's the reason you are here, the stories you have to tell, and the possibilities we can create together that matter. Whether you're just starting out, still studying a support qualification or an experienced personal carer.. We're here to support you.
- Our values are also important to us. So, we always respect freedom of expression, act with integrity, include others, and bring energy and passion to our work.
**Community Care**
- Caring for the elderly in their homes allows you to spend time one-on-one with clients. You might pop in to help with personal care or home duties in the morning or evening. Or keep them connected to their community through activities they love - like walking, gardening, going out for a coffee or lunch, and transporting them to appointments.
- A typical home visit is on a weekday for 1 - 3 hours with 2-4 clients a day, depending on your available hours and days. When you first start, you'll need to commit to a minimum of 10-15 hours per fortnight. How much you work will grow depending on your flexibility and client demands.
