Senior Primary HV Systems Engineer – Brisbane

We're looking for a highly motivated Senior Primary HV Systems Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Brisbane (alternate locations such as Melbourne will be considered).
As the Successful Candidate, You Will
* Conduct detail design of HV substations including switchyard layouts, earthing design, cable routing, major equipment sizing and specification, single line diagrams, design calculations, etc.
* Prepare technical specifications for major HV equipment (knowledge of transformer design is an asset).
* Provide technical support for procurement, construction and commissioning of HV substations.
* Provide key discipline input to multi-discipline project teams.
* Participate in formal engineering review processes.
* Have knowledge of all substation primary design tools and software such as Microstation, AutoCAD, CDEGS, etc.
* Mentor junior engineers.
* Follow internal QA/QC procedures to ensure high quality engineering services.
You Will Bring To The Role
* At least 5 years of demonstrated engineering experience in HV primary design delivering detail design of HV substations.
* Excellent attitude towards safety and a demonstrated ability to comply with the safety requirements.
* Preparation of project specifications, design reports and other technical documentation as required.
* Experience in performing electrical studies pertaining to primary design (e.g. short circuit force calculations, conductor sizing, earthing design, substation lightning protection, etc.).
* Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients on a technical and interpersonal level.
* Ability to produce high quality design documentation.
* A degree in electrical engineering with CPEng or equivalent is desired.
