**The role**:

You will be responsible for the smooth running of all staff injury and workers compensation claims. You'll be the go-to point for providing advice and support to our management and employees across the business. You will also have the opportunity to be involved with and provide input and support for various projects within the People & Culture team.
This role will be a full-time maternity leave coverage position based at our National Support Office in South Melbourne with a mix of 3 days office based & 2 days from home.
**You will be responsible for these key areas**:
- Workers Compensation, Return to Work & Injury Management:
- You'll be the main point of contact regarding workers comp claims, ensuring timely case management, communication, coordination of rehab plans and prevention measures are in place,
- Ensure all claims meet State Legislation & Regulations,
- Visit sites and attend hearings as needed,
- Manage and maintain all confidential records and claim files in the designated database,
- Closely manage relationships with our external vendors and workcover agent,
- Calculate PIAWE and CWE for claimants and process relevant payments on a weekly basis,
- Production of reports as required for Company Executive.
- Employee Welfare & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Management:
- Manage the contract between the EAP provider and Consolidated,
- Ensure regular promotion of the EAP program to staff.
- Worker Incidents:
- Working closely with the Risk Team to actively monitor worker incidents,
- Assess and manage incident cases as they arise,
- Assist in employee and management training programs on injury prevention, injury management and early intervention as needed.
- Parental Leave:
- Ensuring the Parental Leave Process is kept up to date and communicated to the business,
- Track, manage and follow up parent leave procedures.
- People & Culture support duties:
- Collaborate with the wider team to create and implement training literature,
- Partake in strategic initiatives.
- Have high proficiency in Windows Office, specifically MS Excel
- Have proven experience in this field (Vic, NSW and SA preferably)
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting multiple industry awards
- Understand Health and Safety obligations in accordance with the relevant acts
- Have exceptional case management and negotiation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to outstanding customer service with all stakeholders
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
