We are a community-based organisation located in Narrogin, WA. We provide financial information and advocacy to empower our clients to overcome financial hardship. This role will allow you to make a real and life-long difference in people's lives!

About the Role
* We will pay and support you to undertake a Traineeship in Financial Counselling. This means you will:
o Complete a nationally-recognised Diploma of Financial Counselling (16 hours paid study per week) and
o Work alongside our qualified Financial Counsellors (8 hours per week) for real world experience and coaching
o We will pay all fees associated with enrolment in the Diploma.
You will gain on-the-job experience by working alongside our qualified Financial Counsellors. As your experience grows, you will:
* Assess the financial situation of clients to identify immediate and longer-term solutions to improve a client's financial wellbeing.
* Provide one-on-one budgeting support, advocacy and referrals to other services.
* Negotiate directly with creditors and stakeholders on behalf of clients.
* Carry out administrative tasks including maintaining case files in a competent and confidential manner and maintain data for reporting purposes.

* You will be eligible and committed to studying a Diploma of Financial Counselling (16 hours per week of paid study is provided)
* You will have completed your WACE or equivalent high school certificate.
