Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for young people and their families entering our service. Your primary responsibility will be to create an excellent rapport with clients, identify their support needs, and collate initial information.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist young people in accessing services and coordinate care to meet individual needs
* Develop a clear understanding of clients through case formulation and assessment
* Collaborate with the team to implement access to information and culturally-sensitive activities
* Conduct structured/unstructured intake assessments and initial risk assessments
* Coordinate services with other allied health services in the region
* Participate in community events and advocacy that build the profile and accessibility of the centre
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have a mix of qualifications and experience from any allied health background. Ideally, you will have some background in providing mental health supports and/or working with young people. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
