Lead meaningful urban renewal projects that shape the future of South Australia
We're excited to be working exclusively with Renewal SA in search of an experienced and passionate Senior Development Manager. This is a chance to lead transformative projects within the Residential Growth division.
Renewal SA is at the heart of shaping the state's urban landscape through innovative, sustainable development. In this role, you'll guide a diverse portfolio of complex residential projects from early planning through to delivery - collaborating closely with government, industry, and the community to bring visionary ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire multi-disciplinary project teams, including planners, architects, engineers, and contractors, to deliver high-quality urban renewal developments.
Manage the full project lifecycle: feasibility, design development, statutory approvals, procurement, construction, and handover.
Collaborate closely with government agencies, industry partners, community groups, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals and community needs.
Oversee commercial aspects including budgeting, financial modelling, risk management, and contract negotiation to maximise value and minimise risk.
Embed innovation and sustainability principles into every stage, promoting smart growth, green infrastructure, and social inclusion.
Ensure all projects comply with relevant policies, standards, and Renewal SA's commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
About you:
A tertiary qualification in Property, Development, Planning, Land Economics, or a related field.
Strong experience in precinct planning, subdivisions, feasibility, approvals, and coordinating consultants and contractors, with residential development as a bonus.
Strategically and commercially minded with strong financial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects successfully.
