Role Summary:
This is a challenging and rewarding accounting position within our organization. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing financial processes, leading a team and delivering high-quality results.
The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including the General Ledger and Fixed Asset Register. It also involves conducting month-end reviews, analyzing results and preparing management reports.
In addition to these duties, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing staff skills, improving processes and contributing to the organization's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the month-end process against agreed deadlines, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
* Conduct month-end review and analysis of results, including variance analysis and commentary for management reports
* Monitor and manage the monthly cash flow
* Review and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis
* Deliver DH Reports, including monthly results, forecasts and budgets, within required timelines
* Prepare annual statutory accounts and other external reports as required
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and taxation deliverables
* Lead the financial accounting team, ensuring deliverables are met and the team operates efficiently
Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance and accounting, with CPA or CA membership
* Proven experience in managing financial processes, leading teams and delivering high-quality results
* Excellent supervision and investment in staff skill development
