PURPOSE
The Senior Integration Analyst Developer designs, builds, and maintains integration solutions that
enable secure, reliable, and efficient data exchange between systems. Working under the guidance of
the Integration Architect and in alignment with designs from the Integration Architect, the role
implements and supports integration components that meet business requirements and governance
standards. The position applies best-practice integration methods, automation, and quality assurance
to ensure services are scalable, maintainable, and fit for purpose.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain integration services and APIs to enable secure and reliable data
exchange between systems.
• Implement integration solutions that align with architectural standards, governance requirements,
and security policies.
• Apply automated monitoring, logging, and error-handling processes to ensure integrations remain
stable and efficient.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver integration solutions that meet
business needs.
• Maintain clear documentation for integration processes, technical specifications, and data flows.
• Work with data engineers and platform teams to ensure integrations align with broader data
platform architecture.
• Conduct quality assurance checks, testing, and performance tuning for integration services.
• Stay current with integration technologies, tools, and best practices, recommending improvements
where applicable.
• Recommend and influence integration architecture decisions to support strategic data initiatives.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging integration technologies and tools.
• Provide expert advice on integration best practices, security, and governance to technical and
business stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of integration standards and policies across the university.
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS
1. Tertiary qualification (preferably post graduate) in Information Technology, Computer
Science, or a related field.
1. Minimum 5 years' experience in developing and supporting integration services or APIs in a
complex environment.
1. Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, including pipeline design, orchestration, and
monitoring.
1. Proficiency in integration technologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., REST, SOAP, ESB, ETL).
2. Experience with cloud-based integration platforms and middleware.
3. Strong understanding of data formats and transformation (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV).
4. Commitment to quality, security, and governance in all deliverables.
