Marcel Pacific is an Australian maritime technology company developing a next-generation Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) engineered for sovereign defence applications. Built for stealth & modularity, our platform is designed to meet the evolving needs of the ADF and allied underwater operations.
As we expand the program from R&D into early production, we're seeking an Electronics Assembler to assist with early-stage manufacturing, under the guidance of the Production Engineer. You'll support the manufacturing, testing, and packaging of high-performance electronic and electromechanical systems.
This is a full-time role with the opportunity to move to full time employment for the right candidate.
What You'll Do
* Hand solder SMT and through-hole components
* Assemble wiring looms, connectors, and cable systems
* Perform precision mechanical assembly
* Operate basic test equipment (e.g. multimeters, test rigs)
* Follow detailed work instructions and QA processes
* Support testing, packing, and general production needs
Required Qualifications
* Strong SMT and through-hole soldering skills
* Component ID and manual population experience
* Cable and connector assembly, crimping, and wiring
* Fine motor skills and attention to detail
* Basic PC literacy and ability to follow documentation
Desirable Qualifications
* IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721 or IPC-A-610 training
* UEE21920 Certificate II in Electronics
* Experience in electromechanical assembly or potting/sealing
* Familiarity with QA/QC processes and maritime products
* Ability to operate 3D printers
