We're seeking a reliable, safety‑conscious First‑Class Machinist to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to work on a variety of conventional and machine centre equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and operate conventional lathes and machine centres to manufacture components to engineering drawings
* Read, interpret and manufacture to engineering drawings in both Metric and Imperial units
* Complete work orders and accurately log time against tasks
* Troubleshoot machining and setup issues; apply strong problem solving and mechanical aptitude
* Liaise with team leaders to order and manage tooling requirements
* Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area and follow all safety procedures
* Be available for overtime as required
Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements
* Trade Certificate: First Class Machining (required)
* Demonstrated experience using conventional lathes and machine centres
* Ability to read and manufacture to engineering drawings (Metric & Imperial)
* Full working rights in Australia
* Current driver's licence
* Reliable, safety focused and committed to high quality workmanship
Experience & Licences

* Forklift licence: desirable (please advise if you hold one)
