About the role
Due to a recent move, a very rare and exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join its' highly motivated and driven sales team.
Looking after the western region of Metro and rural Victoria, in this dynamic, fast paced and highly challenging role, you will be charged with the following:
* Calling on customers to provide product, service, and technical engineering information.
* Quoting and following up on jobs
* Assisting with installations, commissioning, and testing of products
* Providing training to customers on the use of these products
Skills and experience
As the ideal candidate and to make the transition as smooth as possible, you must possess the following key attributes:
* Previous sales experience within the industrial sector
* An understanding of geared motors and power transmission, automation and controls, variable speed drives, electric motors etc.
* The ability to build rapport with people at all levels both internally and externally
* Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and time management skills
* A relevant tertiary Mechatronics degree would be ideal but is not mandatory.
