YOUR ROLE The Cyber Security Analyst is designed to ensure cyber security and privacy across MACS offices and schools. The team provides services in security assurance, security risk management and incident handling. describe main objective of position. This role would suit a detail-focused cyber or IT professional with experience in security operations, incident response, strong technical foundations, and the ability to communicate clearly with schools and stakeholders. Job Description WHAT YOU WILL DO Gather, monitor and report events from multiple systems, detection tools and logging systems Correlate activity across assets and environments and assist in identifying patterns of anomalous activity Support the enhancement of event gathering and threat detection capabilities across the enterprise Coordinate with schools for vulnerability management at schools Be part of incident response teams to summarise incident information and to directly assist schools Perform periodic user access reviews on systems, directories and tools across the enterprise Gather security metrics and assist in report preparation Perform security test/audit and participate in incident simulation exercises ABOUT YOU Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality Experience working in an IT services environment with a focus on problem resolution High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in correlating data from multiple sources and searching for patterns and relationships Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the capability to communicate effectively with schools and external stakeholders Experience as a member of a cyber incident response team Knowledge of cyber security frameworks such as NIST CSF and ACSC Essential Eight Ability to use Excel, SQL and shell scripting for data manipulation HOW TO APPLY Please refer to the position description for further details about the role and the Key Selection Criteria.
