**The Role**
An opportunity exists for an experienced, highly motivated individual to provide executive support to the Provost Marshal ADF (PM-ADF) within the Department of Defence. With limited supervision, you will manage the office of the PM-ADF in a joint military policing environment. This includes diary management, responding to correspondence, organising meetings, arranging travel, coordinating briefing packs and managing office systems and records using Microsoft Office, Objective and Financial Management Systems.
This role is in a high-tempo environment and will require the successful applicant to be independent, flexible, resilient and well-organised.
The successful applicant's duties will include:
- Providing correspondence and diary management/ support;
- Arranging meetings and travel;
- Managing workflows between JMPU and headquarters elements;
- Prioritising and managing competing priorities, with the ability to triage requests when urgent matters arise; and
- Working independently with limited supervision
**About our Team**
The Joint Military Police Unit (JMPU) is the primary contact for all Defence policing matters, providing general duties policing and investigative capability to the ADF. The Provost Marshal ADF is the Commanding Officer of the JMPU and is responsible for the delivery of policing and law enforcement effects across the ADF.
The successful applicant will directly support the PM-ADF and work in a military unit which is composed of tri-service ADF members, APS and contractors.

- Possess strong strategic awareness, sound judgement and an ability to effectively guide and advise others (including Senior Executives/Star Ranked Officers);
- Communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing;
- Understand and manage competing priorities, and adjust when urgent requests arise;
- Have relevant tertiary qualifications (desirable); and
- Have previous experience as an EA, XO or similar (desirable).
