Join Orica's 2026 Graduate Program in Blasting Technical Services, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship with a global mining leader.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Participating in a structured two-year program with two 12-month rotations across AusPac operations.
* Rotating through various Technical Services teams to impact day-to-day operations.
* Spending significant time on site as part of a blast crew to learn practical, hands-on aspects of blasting.
* Providing customers with product stewardship of electronic blasting systems, wireless blasting systems, and bulk explosive delivery systems.
* Engaging in formal in-class learning with industry experts to develop deep understanding of blasting concepts, blast design skills, and explosive product knowledge.
* Contributing to project teams delivering explosive product implementations, blast performance and design optimisation, and innovative technology trials.
* Shadowing a senior Technical Service Engineer to gain exposure to project management, technical investigations, and specialist blasting engineering skills.
* Traveling to remote customer sites within the region to support operations and build strong customer relationships.
* Rotating through a range of blasting applications in different markets, including open-cut metalliferous, open-pit coal, and underground metalliferous.
* Supporting re-location to technical hubs in Adelaide, Brisbane, Kalgoorlie, Mackay, Newcastle, and Perth.
About You
To be successful in this role, you are:
* Studying or have recently completed a degree in Mining, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Earth Science related disciplines, Mechanical or other Engineering related degrees.
* Graduating in 2024 or 2025.
* Holding a Bachelor's, Postgraduate, or Master's degree.
