This is a part-time position. The successful applicant will be required to work 37.5 hours per fortnight.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
This position provides support to the district intelligence capability by collating and processing intelligence information onto relevant computer systems, processing the linking of information to appropriate databases, providing support and obtaining information from various sources for the compilation of information and statistical reports.
SPECIALIST PRE-REQUISITE
It is a requirement that the position holder be successful in obtaining and maintaining a NEGATIVE VETTING LEVEL 1 security clearance for the duration of their appointment in the position. Only Australian Citizens are eligible. Applicants currently not Australian Citizens must be aware that this is an essential requirement and that they cannot be appointed unless they are in the process of applying for Australian Citizenship and are eligible to become an Australian Citizen prior to appointment.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Please ensure you complete, sign and scan the Integrity Check Consent Form (refer attached) and submit it along with your application. The form is not required for current WA Police Force employees.
Applicants are asked to address the following nominated work related requirements in no more than two (2) pages:
Communication skills – preparing reports, memos and general correspondence; providing information to various personnel; liaising effectively with all levels of personnel internally and externally.
Problem solving skills – identifying problems and implementing corrective action.
Applicants must also submit a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) with sufficient detail (dot points acceptable) to allow the selection panel to assess skills and experience relevant to the key accountabilities. The CV must include the names and contact details of two referees; at least one should be an immediate (most recent) supervisor/manager unless exceptional circumstances exist.
OTHER CONDITIONS
The selection process may be used to fill this and other similar vacancies throughout the district. Should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, the panel may select another suitable applicant from this pool for up to twelve (12) months from the initial appointment date.
Integrity and criminal checks will be conducted if the recommended applicant is not a current WA Police Force employee. Any relocation costs associated with the appointment may be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
