Our company seeks an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our busy workshop in Brisbane. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with consistent hours and a supportive team environment.
Main Responsibilities:
* To service, maintain and repair a fleet of heavy vehicles including Prime Movers
* To diagnose faults and perform repairs on engines, braking systems, hydraulics, and electrical components
* To conduct regular inspections and ensure all vehicles meet safety standards
* To work closely with the workshop team to support efficient operations
* To maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with company procedures
* To travel to other depots when needed to support operational demands
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* A certified Diesel Mechanic (Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
* Experience with heavy vehicle fleets, especially Prime Movers
* Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
* Ability to work independently and meet time-sensitive deadlines
* Leadership experience (if applying for the 2IC role)
* A safety-focused mindset and reliable work ethic
* Full working rights in Australia
