Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.

Our play-based educational programs are thoughtfully designed to meet the unique developmental needs of each child, fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Assistant Director to join our team full-time (38 hours per week) on a permanent basis, starting as soon as possible.
In this key leadership role, you will support the Centre Director in creating and maintaining a warm, effective, and inclusive environment that aligns with the Mission, Vision, and Values of MMCNQ, as well as the National Quality Framework and our organisational policies. Our skilled Service Leader and Business Operations Consultant will provide ongoing support to help you thrive in this important role.
What you’ll need to succeed:
* Diploma in Early Childhood Education (near complete) or equivalent
* Previous experience within the childcare sector
* Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
* Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
* Understanding and knowledge of National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place Framework
* Ability to learn new systems and child care management software
