About the role
We're on the lookout for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly Myhealth Smith Collective practice, based right on the Griffith University campus. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on and is ready to step up with a bit more responsibility, while still working in a small, close-knit practice (just one GP per day).
You'll have plenty of opportunity to grow with the clinic, make the role your own, and be a key part of our day-to-day success. We offer full-time hours across four days (Monday to Wednesday and Friday), and we're open to either permanent or casual arrangements to suit the right person.
Day in the Life:
* Day-to-day reception duties
* Overseeing and maintaining diary scheduling in collaboration with the Clinical Team (including waitlist management, booking in new clients and rescheduling appointments)
* Overseeing appointments and bookings
* Managing waitlist management, booking in new clients and rescheduling appointment
* Assisting with patient and doctor queries
* Utilising appropriate item numbers for appointments
* Responsible for contacting debtors and chasing outstanding debts
What we're looking for:
* Minimum of 1-2 years of reception experience in general practice/healthcare settings.
* Best Practice experience preferred
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency in Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, HICAPS, and Private Health Insurance billings preferred
* Strong multitasking abilities and effective prioritisation of workflow
* A positive, can-do attitude and a drive to make a meaningful impact on our patients and practice
