About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Graduate Environmental Planner / Scientist to join our Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team in Canberra.
At AECOM, our Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team is helping deliver some of the most transformational projects in Australia – from renewable energy and transmission projects, to major road, rail, water and industrial developments. We combine innovative technologies with decades of expertise to deliver robust, easy-to-understand analyses that achieve compliance, support clients' Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) objectives, and create meaningful change for communities.
How you\'ll make a difference:
Apply your environmental science, planning, or engineering qualifications to real-world challenges.
Work with multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, planners, engineers, drafters, project administrators and contractors in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Develop skills in environmental assessment across renewable energy, water, and transport sectors, as well as in navigating approval pathways under Commonwealth, State, and local frameworks.
Support ESG initiatives by engaging with communities and key stakeholders.
Embed sustainability and resilience outcomes within projects.
You'll have opportunities to collaborate across Australia, Current Zealand and globally, with access to a strong pipeline of projects and a network of mentors to help you shape your career.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree:
You must be in your final year or completed a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Environmental Engineering.
Graduate Year:
You must have completed your studies and have graduated before starting the program.
Commencement:
You must be able to commence work by February 2026. We are open to mid-year finishers who are able to commence by July 2026.
