About the Role
The role of Area Supervisor is to support and oversee the achievement of routine and planned maintenance works, including scoping, quality control, supervising staff, whilst maintaining a safe work environment through a high quality of health and safety practices.
Supporting a team of trade staff based across Newcastle/Maitland/Cessnock areas, you will focus on coaching and developing your team, in addition to coordinating their daily schedules.
This hands on rolewill see the successful candidate be proactive as a leader, trade qualified with exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead and manage a small team.
To be successful in this role, please ensure you have addressed the following essential selection criteria:
* Trade Qualification -NSW Builders Licence/Qualified Supervisor Certificate OR NSW Kitchen/Bathroom/Laundry Renovation Licence/Qualified Supervisor Certificate
* Demonstrated experience in residential property maintenance services
* Facilities, asset, project management experience
* Ability to implement and maintain schedules in conjunction with our contractual requirements;
* Develop, motivate and lead your team across numerous and various sites;
* Set timelines, deadlines and routines in conjunction with our contractual requirements;
* Conduct analysis of your teams' output and standards to continually improve the needs and requirements of your area;
* Liaise and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have the capability to communicate in both a technical and non-technical manner;
* Mentor and coach staff with different skill and ability levels including apprentices and trainees
* Strong knowledge and application of Microsoft Office suite
