About MLEA
MLEA is a leading, values-driven occupational therapy organisation specialising in medicolegal assessments and expert clinical reporting. We're known for our commitment to innovation, integrity, empowerment and collaboration - and for creating a workplace where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.
While our clinicians work directly with clients, this role sits within our medicolegal administration, research and medical writing team; no face-to-face client work required.
Why work with us?
At MLEA, your wellbeing, autonomy and growth genuinely matter.
We actively support work–life balance and understand the cognitive load that comes with allied health and analytical work. You'll see it from day one.
* No overtime culture
* Work-from-home opportunities once onboarded
* Flexibility to swap days and adjust hours
* Wellness initiatives, "stress-down days", team charity events, Christmas in July, and plenty of social catch-ups
* A supportive team who genuinely want to see you thrive
What does a Medicolegal Assistant / OTA / Medical Writer actually do?
This is a non-clinical, non-client-facing role supporting our OTs with high-quality documentation, research, analysis and report preparation.
A typical day may include:
* Reviewing client briefs and medical records
* Typing functional observations while OTs assess
* Conducting labour market research
* Drafting and refining sections of reports
* Preparing presentations and educational material
* Investigating specialist aids, equipment and interventions
* Contributing to evidence-based analysis
* Working in our office… or from home once you're independent
As you grow, so do your responsibilities. We actively support progression, whether into more advanced medical writing, medicolegal support, research roles, or other opportunities within MLEA.
