About the Office of Responsible Gambling
The Office of Responsible Gambling leads programs and initiatives to prevent and reduce gambling harm in the NSW community and provides public policy advice to the NSW Government. Program areas include research, community education & awareness, intervention, support and treatment services and public policy development.

About The Role
The Manager Strategy & Development will lead a team to develop and deliver education, awareness, prevention, and partnership programs, as well as strategic research and insights to inform policy development and advice; and manage a broad range of projects to prevent and minimise gambling harm.
Key duties include:
* Lead a team and the strategic gambling harm minimisation function providing a clear focus on the direction of policy development and priorities, and ongoing development of research, education and integrated services to support gambling harm prevention and minimisation.
* Develop, deliver and evaluate education, prevention and partnership programs to prevent and minimise gambling harm.
* Oversee the development, provision and dissemination of relevant, timely and high-quality research and evaluation products to inform continuous improvement and contribute to the gambling harm prevention evidence base.
* Partner and collaborate with customers and stakeholders inform planning, decision making and policy advice, and to identify opportunities to support gambling harm prevention and minimisation.
* Provide high-level advice on best practice gambling harm prevention and minimisation and safer gambling policy initiatives.
* Identify challenges and risks in relation to gambling harm in the community and manage the research and development of options to address such challenges.
* Critically analyse, consider and advise on the potential impact of gambling policy, regulation, products and services to inform regulatory and policy development by government and other stakeholders.
* Oversee the effective contract management of suppliers, service providers and grant recipients, and contribute to best practice grant and contract management by the Business.

About You
* You will have demonstrated experience in leading a team of professionals working on various projects simultaneously, particularly research, policy and education and awareness initiatives.
* You will have highly developed organisational and problem-solving skills that you can draw on in the development, delivery and evaluation of initiatives to prevent and minimise gambling harm
* You will possess stakeholder management experience and be able to partner and collaborate with stakeholders from both the government and non-government sectors.
* You will possess highly developed analytical skills to identify challenges and risks in relation to gambling harm in the community and manage the research and development of options to address such challenges.
Essential Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline ordemonstratedequivalent relevant professional experience.
* Appointment and ongoing assignment are subject to satisfactorily meeting pre-employment and ongoing probity screening
* The person/s assigned to this position will be appointed as a key official and subject to the associated restrictions under section 16(1) of the Gaming and Liquor Administration Act 2007 and section 86 of the Casino Control Act 1992.
