About the Role
Are you a hands‐on problem solver with a passion for keeping critical infrastructure running smoothly? Zinfra is on the hunt for a Gas Service Technician to help maintain and repair our client gas facilities and networks in the ACT / Nowra region – keeping homes and businesses powered safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete all programmed and corrective maintenance of Zinfra's client gas facilities and networks
* Ensure no gas outages due to maintenance and repair techniques and reduce call backs or rework on work performed
* Work in accordance with the code of conduct and safety policies and procedures and report all system and component failures ensuring you are following respective procedures
* Carry out risk assessments on all work
* Assist with resourcing during emergency or critical times
* Provide constructive input regarding issues affecting the team

About You
The successful applicant will have a good working knowledge of gas networks and experience working with a variety of tools and equipment, as well as the following:
* Experience working within the utilities sector
* Proactive approach towards safety and excellent safe working practices
* Flexibility to work reasonable overtime, as required to meet the needs of the business and being on a monthly after-hours callout roster
* Gas Fitting / Plumbing trade or equivalent (highly desirable)
* Current Australian driver's licence, White / Blue card, Asbestos and Silica awareness
