About The Role
Cater Care is seeking a Casual Catering Assistant at Balmoral Retirement Village – Dernancourt, SA. This casual role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' daily lives. You will assist the kitchen team with meal preparation and service, helping to create a welcoming, enjoyable, and high-quality dining experience for all residents.
What This Role Involves
* Assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals
* Providing excellent customer service by serving residents' meals and snacks
* Re-stocking supplies as needed, including after meal periods
* Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen and dining areas
* Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties
Desired Skills And Experience The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Previous experience in food preparation and/or customer service
* Contract catering experience (desirable)
* The ability to work effectively within a team to meet resident needs and service expectations
* Excellent presentation and communication skills
* Willingness to undergo a Police Check
