Overview
We are regularly tendering for works in the Brisbane &/or greater QLD area and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced professional Civil Project Managers in the road construction / maintenance industry interested in joining us and capable of committing to the following assignments for a period of approximately 1 - 2 years with a possibility of ongoing extensions and other projects.
Responsibilities
* Significant road construction and maintenance delivery experience to manage & lead the projects, during the delivery phase from a contractor's standpoint.
* Budgeting, programming, monitoring expenditure, controlling resources and reviewing priorities.
* Manage labour, plant, materials and subcontract within budget and time constraints.
* Undertaking various contract management activities including client liaison.
* Procurement of road making materials and project services within guidelines.
* Implement PM techniques and systems in accordance with systems and processes.
* Submit reports and provide information to management within timeframes.
* Train and guide project staff on specifications and construction processes.
* Contribute to the estimating process for bids or offers.
* A high standard in traffic management.
* Strong experience & knowledge of TMR Technical Specifications.
* Working knowledge of 3PCM, SAP, P6 or other similar project management packages is an advantage.
* Strong written, verbal communication & computer literacy skills.
* Experience with QMS, and their effective application on construction projects.
* Experience with Project Management Systems, including Safety and Environment.
Hours
The hours are variable from 40 per week+, however longer hours & weekend work may be required to suit workload. The roles can be Brisbane &/or greater QLD based, however some work away in regional or remote locations may be required depending on requirements.
Qualifications
* Possession of a degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification, which is accepted by the Institution of Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust) or alternatives like a Bachelor of Tech / Civil etc may be acceptable if you have the work experience.
* Prior TMR Pre-Qualification as a PMC01 would be a distinct advantage.
Eligibility & Requirements
You must have the right to work in Australia, with well-developed interpersonal and consultative skills, at least 5 years prior Australian experience in the Civil Roads Infrastructure Industry working with QLD Councils, DTMR &/or any Australian State Road Authority, directly or indirectly. Applicants must be Australian residents and already living in Australia. You must also possess a current driver's licence.
