Join our Downer Professional Services team and express your interest in future opportunities within our Engineering stream. We are seeking to engage skilled professionals with Defence or Defence industry experience to join our permanent workforce and support complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

* Platform Engineer
* Systems Engineer
* Maritime Engineer
* Model Based Systems Engineer
* Communications Engineer
* Network Engineer
What You'll Bring
Previous experience ideally within the Defence or consulting services industries.
* Experience in designing and integrating complex defence systems.
* Strong capabilities in analysis, technical reviews, and producing high-quality documentation to support government approvals and successful delivery.
* In-depth understanding of defence security protocols, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance to uphold operational integrity.
* Desirable: an Engineering degree in Communications, Computing, or Electronics, suitable for membership with Engineers Australia.
* Skilled in navigating the Systems Engineering Lifecycle, including the creation and review of detailed technical documentation.
Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
