Responsibilities
* Supporting the culinary leadership to achieve the daily objectives of the culinary department
* Assisting to lead the Breakfast Service for the Restaurant
* Works with Restaurant and Banquet departments to coordinate service and timing of events and meals
* Leads shifts while personally preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications
* Participates in the employee performance appraisal process, giving feedback as needed
* Supervises and mentoring staffing to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
* Performs all duties of culinary and related kitchen area talent in high demand times
* Participates in department meetings and continually communicates a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired results
* Purchases appropriate supplies and manages food and supply inventories according to budget
Requirements
* Working experience in a large/luxury full-service hotel, with experience doing breakfast service
* Knowledge and understanding in Australian/European cuisine
* Excellent time management & communication skills
* Basic administrative and computer skills
