About the Role
We are looking for an energetic and passionate Assistant Manager Housekeeping / Assistant Housekeeping Manager to run the housekeeping team that makes a difference in the day‐to‐day operations of the department.
* Support the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing daily operations, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas meet Park Hyatt Sydney's luxury standards for cleanliness, quality, and service.
* Lead, motivate, and develop the housekeeping team, fostering a positive, inclusive and high‐performing culture aligned with Hyatt's values.
* Maintain exceptional guest experiences by handling requests, resolving concerns efficiently, and ensuring all VIP and special request rooms are prepared to the highest standard.
* Manage administrative and operational functions including rostering, inventory control, lost & found, reporting, and compliance with brand standards, policies, and safety procedures.
* Assist in financial and operational performance by controlling costs, managing supplies and labour, and driving productivity while maintaining service excellence.
Qualifications
* Well‐developed computer skills, particularly MS Office, email and hotel property management system (preferably OPERA Cloud).
* Detailed knowledge of the use of cleaning agents and chemicals.
* Good trainer.
* Comprehensive knowledge of business needs, financial reporting and productivity requirements.
* University degree or diploma in hospitality or tourism management.
* Well‐developed communication and customer relations skills.
* Minimum of 2 years similar work experience at a luxury hotel or similar environment.
* MUST have an unrestricted working visa for Australia.
