Position: MARP Veterinarian (Casual, 16 weeks)
Location: Clayton campus

Remuneration: HEW 8, $78.31 per hour (loaded casual rate)

Responsibilities
* Provide high‑level veterinary care for animals and advise on emerging challenges in the research animal space; implement changes to ensure best practice and optimised animal welfare and research outcomes.
* Contribute to teaching and training in procedures and techniques for researchers and animal technicians; contribute to standard operating procedure and policy review and development.
* Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to support ongoing animal care and welfare initiatives within MARP.
Qualifications
* Degree in Veterinary Science and eligibility (or current registration) as a Veterinary Surgeon in the state of Victoria.
* Commitment to excellence in animal welfare, ability to build positive relationships, and a willingness to learn and improve in the research animal setting.
* Experience in animal-based research is highly regarded; support to develop expertise in the research setting will be provided for suitable candidates.
