Lead Global Growth for One of Australia's Most Advanced Battery Innovators. A well-funded Australian technology company is scaling breakthrough lithium-sulfur and lithium-metal battery technology. With global interest from aviation, defence, drone, and EV sectors, the company is now commercialising and is seeking a strategic, commercially minded leader to drive partnership growth and market engagement internationally. About the Role As Head of Strategic Partnerships, you’ll report directly to the CEO and take ownership of building and converting high-impact global relationships. You will work closely with the CTO and Executive Team to lead global growth in significant OEM partnerships in drones, e-Aviation, heavy EV’s and defence markets. This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role suited to a commercially experienced leader with strong technical grounding, ideally in energy, defence or aerospace. Key Responsibilities Identify, negotiate and secure strategic partnerships with global OEMs Lead the design and execution of partner-facing programs and commercial agreements Represent the business at international conferences, trade shows, and investor briefings Drive business development initiatives to support the commercialisation of the technology and products Develop high-quality proposals and lead responses to major solicitations What You’ll Bring Degree in engineering or science (postgrad qualifications highly regarded) 10 years in business development, strategy, or partnerships — ideally in battery technology/energy, defence or aerospace Demonstrated wins in complex technical-commercial negotiations Strong grasp of defence/export control frameworks and public-private collaborations Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills A global contact network is highly valued Why This Role?
