About This Role
This is a unique opportunity to work in a privately owned business that operates in the aviation and tourism sectors.
As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to provide high-level legal and commercial advice.
* You will oversee and lead the legal team's performance and management.
* Provide commercially focused legal advice on various matters including contracts, tenders, property law, employment relations, intellectual property, and privacy law.
* Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and deeds.
* Manage disputes and litigations.
* Improve internal operational processes, risk management controls, and compliance measures.
* Review leasing requirements for company assets.
* Develop contingency plans.
* Advise senior leadership on governance matters and regulatory obligations.
* Prepare agendas and papers for board meetings.
Key Requirements
* At least 10 years of post-admission experience.
* A law degree from an Australian university or equivalent qualification.
* Admission or eligibility to practice law in Western Australia.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in company secretarial roles.
* Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence decision-makers.
* Prior experience in contract law, aviation law, and corporate governance would be advantageous.
